CRM Template Troubleshooting
If you have created a template for HubSpot or Salesforce but you're not seeing it in your CRM, here are a few potential causes.
Note: If you see the Tokens icon in your account, please see these instructions instead. If you don't see the Tokens icon, please use the instructions below.
Tags are also case-sensitive, so their format must match the examples below exactly.
- hubspot [always add this]
Object tags (add just one of these)
The object tag specifies where the template will be available in HubSpot. For example if you add hubspot and contact as your tags, your template will only be available when creating a Qwilr Page from within a HubSpot Contact record.
- sfdc [always add this]
Object tags: (add just one of these)
The object tag specifies where the template will be available. For example if you add sfdc and opportunity as your tags, your template will only be available when creating a Qwilr Page from within a Salesforce Opportunity record.
Qwilr Template vs. CRM Template
Qwilr incorporates more than one type of template. This may sound a bit confusing, but if you've built a page and then converted it to a Qwilr Custom Template, it won't be visible in your CRM.
Instead, you'd want to leave your page as a page. The conversion to a CRM template happens the first time you access this page from your CRM.
If you've already converted your page to a Qwilr Template, don't worry. You can always convert it back to a page. As soon as you've done that, it will show in your CRM (as long as it has the correct tags).
Styling applied to variables
When you type variables into your template page, be sure not to make them bold or italicized. That will render your template invisible to your CRM. You can use variables in headings or paragraph text. They just can't be in bold or italic text.
