Adding Videos to your Page
Bring your Qwilr Page to life with a Video!
Engage your buyers with visual media, from webinars to demos - the choice is yours. This article covers two ways to add videos so you have the choice! We'll start with the Video Block, and then show you the Video Widget.
To use a video in Qwilr, you'll need to host it on Wistia, Brightcove, YouTube, Vimeo, or Loom.
Note: You'll want to set your videos as Public so Unlisted anyone with the link can access them. Private videos won't work in Qwilr Pages. Qwilr does not host videos.

About the Video Block
If you want to display your video in a separate Block, use a Video Block. It displays your video in a choice of three sizes. You can also include some text above it.
The Video Block offers you greater flexibility, as opposed to the Video Widget, if you need to download your page as a PDF. It gives you the option of whether or not to include or exclude the Video Block.
Creating a Video Block
Think of Blocks like Lego pieces that stack to create more content. To add a new Block, first start by clicking the + icon at the top or bottom of any existing Block.
Then, select the Video icon from the New Block Menu.
From there, you can add a header and text above your video. You can also add styling to your Video Block.
To add the video itself, look for the field where you'll paste the video's URL. (See the sections below to find out how to get the URL from your video hosting service.)
Adding a Video Widget
Alternatively, you can use the Video Widget within other block types. This option also lets you place videos in 2-column sections and accordion sections.
While editing your Page, anywhere there's a blank line you'll see a + icon to add more content. Click on that and then choose Video from the menu.
A toolbar will appear. Paste in the URL to your video, and click the ✔️ to save your video. (See the sections below to learn how to locate the URL.)
You can resize the video by dragging any corner.
Note: If you want to use a video as a background element instead of inline, you can also use a video Splash Block.
Locating your video URL
Wistia | Brightcove | YouTube | Vimeo | Loom
Wistia
In your Wistia account, open your video and head to the top right corner. Click the Embed & Share button.
Next, click the Share tab. Then copy the Public Link for Sharing and paste that into Qwilr.
Brightcove
In your Brightcove account, head to an uploaded video. Go to Publish and Embed, and select Web Player.
Then scroll down and copy the Preview in the Browser URL. Paste it into Qwilr.
YouTube
You can find your shareable YouTube link in your browser's URL bar. Visit your video and copy the URL of the page you're on.
Note: Make sure that you get the YouTube link in the above format. The youtu.be link shortener won't work in Qwilr.
Vimeo
In your Vimeo account, head to your video. Then copy the URL of the page you're on.
Make sure that the URL starts with https.
Loom
In Loom, you'll find a Link button above your video.
Click on that, and choose the Link option. Then paste the link into Qwilr.
Vidyard
In your Vidyard account, head to your video and click on the Share Link button.
Then click on the Copy link. Then paste the link into Qwilr.
FAQ:
Q: Can I save my Block and reuse it across different Pages?
A: Yep! If you like your new block, save it so you can reuse it again.
Q: What happens if my URL doesn't work, or if the video doesn't show up?
A: There is a chance some URLs won't embed correctly - you can always ask our team to try it, however, it could be the case that it's not able to be used outside the other platform due to their restrictions.
