FAQ: My page has 0 views but I know my team has been viewing it

Within your Qwilr analytics, we'll automatically ignore all views by a logged-in user.

So if a member of your team is currently logged into Qwilr and they're viewing your page, you won't see that view tracked in analytics.

If, on the other hand, they view the page in an Incognito or Private browsing window, that view would be tracked because it bypasses their login.

That said, not all anonymous views come from real people. In some but rare cases, these can be triggered by automated systems rather than actual viewers.

Here are a few common reasons this happens:

  • Link-scanning tools: Platforms like LinkedIn or certain email clients often scan shared links in the background to check for security risks. These automated scans can trigger a “view” from cloud infrastructure, often from U.S.-based data centers like Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Security software: Some corporate firewalls or email-filtering tools pre-load or proxy external links for threat detection. This can show up as an anonymous view with a non-local IP address.
  • VPNs or network routing: If someone is browsing with a VPN or using privacy tools, their IP address may appear to come from a different region, which can make the view appear anonymous.
