Adding alt text to your images
Enhancing accessibility on your Qwilr page with alt text for images
When you add an image to a Qwilr Page, you can also assign some alternative (alt) text. That allows screen reader tools to describe the image verbally.
You can add alt text to your page's new image uploads and existing images.
To get started, you can just click on the image to bring up its toolbar. Then click on the Add Alt Text icon.
From there, add your image description and hit Enter.

Note: Here's a guide for writing alt text descriptions.

You can also use a Token to fill in image alt text (on Templates, not Pages). To do it, select the image widget and click ALT, then choose Add token.

Disabling alt text for specific images
If you have images on your webpage that are purely decorative and do not require a description, you can enable the "Image is Decorative" option. This will instruct the screen reader software to ignore the image, ensuring it doesn't interfere with the user's experience. To do this, simply follow the steps above and activate the option.
