What do I need to use the integration?

You'll need a Qwilr account on Growth, Scale, or legacy Enterprise, a Qwilr account admin to enable the integration and choose which variables are available, and a Dynamics 365 System Administrator to install the app and assign the security role.

This setup only happens once. After that, each person connects their own account from the Qwilr panel.

Why can't my team connect?

They're missing the Qwilr Connection User role. Installing the app creates the role, but doesn't assign it to anyone, and existing sales roles don't cover it.

Assign it in the Power Platform admin center under Users + permissions > Security roles. Find Qwilr Connection User in the list, open the "..." menu beside it, and choose Members, then Add people.

This lets you add everyone at once instead of opening each user's profile individually. You can add a whole team the same way, so its members inherit the role.

Why am I seeing the wrong records, or none at all?

If you have more than one Dataverse environment, you may have connected to the wrong one. To change it, disable the integration and enable it again.

Why aren't my templates showing?

There are two things to check: the template may not be connected to Dynamics as its data source, or the record type may not match. For example, an Opportunity template only appears on Opportunity records.

Can Qwilr update my Dynamics records automatically?

Yes. When something happens on a page, like a client accepting it, Qwilr can automatically update the status, revenue, close date, line items, your own custom columns, and the record's timeline.

Why didn't one of my fields update?

You map a Qwilr value onto a Dynamics column, and the two must be the same kind of thing. Usually one of three things is wrong:

  1. The types don't match — for example, a page's status mapped onto a number column.
  2. The amount has cents, but the column is a Whole number column. Use Currency, Decimal, or Floating point instead.
  3. The value isn't one of the column's options, on a Choice or Yes/No column.

A mismatched field is skipped, not fatal — the rest still update, and the automation names the one it skipped.

Which records and columns can I use?

Account, Contact, Lead, and Opportunity. You can also pull from a related record, such as the Account on an Opportunity.

Most column types work. File and Image columns don't, because there is nothing to substitute into a page. A multi-select Choices column reads fine as a variable, showing every selected label separated by semicolons, but an automation cannot write back to one yet. See Microsoft Dynamics 365: Adding Custom Field Variables for the full breakdown.

Does billing frequency reach Dynamics?

No. A quote's billing frequency stays on the Qwilr page. Dynamics has no billing frequency field on an opportunity line item.

How do I remove the integration?

Remove the Qwilr panel from your forms, then uninstall the Qwilr for Dynamics 365 solution in Power Apps. To disconnect without uninstalling, disable the integration in Qwilr's settings.
