Account AI Context: Give Qwilr AI your brand voice
Tell Qwilr AI how your team writes once, and every AI result follows it.
Account AI Context is a shared set of instructions for Qwilr AI. Add your brand voice, writing style, or sales playbook in one place, and Qwilr AI uses it every time it generates content in your account. No more repeating the same instructions in every prompt.
Note: Account AI Context works with these Qwilr AI features: AI Prefill in the Smart Proposal Engine, content generation, proposal chat, image generation, and image editing.
Note: Only account Admins can set up and manage Account AI Context, but it still applies to AI results for everyone on your team. The Account AI Context is disabled if AI features are turned off for your account.

How Account AI Context works
Think of Account AI Context as a style guide that Qwilr AI reads before it writes anything for you.
- Your AI prompt tells AI what to write, for example, "Summarize the client's goals from the meeting notes."
- Your Account AI Context tells AI how to write it, for example, "Write in a warm, confident tone and use Australian English."
You set it up once, and it applies across your whole account, so everyone on your team gets consistent, on-brand results.
Where Account AI Context applies
Your Account AI Context is used every time Qwilr AI generates something in your account, including:
- AI Prefill in the Smart Proposal Engine
- Content generation
- Proposal chat
- Image generation
- Image editing
You don't need to set anything up separately for each feature. Add your instructions once, and they apply everywhere.
Adding your Account AI Context from Account settings
Step 1. On your Qwilr Dashboard, click Account settings at the bottom of the left-hand sidebar.
Step 2. In the left-hand menu, click Account AI Context.

Step 3. Choose a preset to start with, or pick Blank to write your own. See Choosing a preset below.
Step 4. Select, write, or edit your instructions in the Markdown editor.
Step 5. Click Save.
Adding your Account AI Context from a template
You can also add it while you're setting up AI Prefill in a Smart Proposal Engine template. If your template already has a variable with AI Prefill turned on, skip to Step 3.
Step 1. Open your template. In the Configuration Panel on the left, under Data sources, click Add data source, then choose where AI should get its information. For example, choose Notes/free text, then Meeting notes.
Step 2. Under Custom variables, click Add custom variable and choose a variable type, such as Text.
Step 3. Click the pencil icon next to your variable, give it a Name, and turn on Prefill using AI.
Step 4. Under Add context for all AI prompts, click Add account AI instructions.

Step 5. Choose a preset or pick Blank, then write your instructions.

Step 6. Click Done.
Once it's added, you'll see an Account context tag in the variable's AI prompt box, next to Data sources. The Add context for all AI prompts box won't show anymore, so to make changes later, go to Account settings > Account AI Context.

You can also click on the "Account context" pill in a field to open it from within the editor.

Note: You only need to set this up once. Your Account AI Context is an account-wide setting, so it applies to AI Prefill across all your templates, not just this variable.
Choosing a preset
Not sure where to start? Pick a preset, and Qwilr fills the editor with a ready-made structure for you to tailor.
Step 1. On your Qwilr Dashboard, click Account settings at the bottom of the left-hand sidebar.
Step 2. In the left-hand menu, click Account AI Context.
Step 3. Under Choose a preset to start with, click the preset you'd like to use.
Step 4. Tailor the instructions in the Markdown editor to suit your team.
Step 5. Click Save.

- Blank: Start with a blank slate and write your own instructions.
- Brand voice: Voice and tone instructions for a consistent brand voice.
- Sales playbook: Instructions for how your team should sell.
- Writing style guide: Writing, spelling, and punctuation guidelines.
- All-in-one: Brand voice, writing style guide, and sales playbook combined.
Presets include placeholders in square brackets, like [Company name] or [target audience]. Replace these with your own details, and delete anything that doesn't apply to your team.
Note: You'll only see the presets when your Account AI Context is empty. If you've already added instructions, you'll go straight to the Markdown editor instead.
To start fresh with a preset, first copy and paste your current instructions somewhere safe, like a document or notepad, so you have a backup. Then click Delete, click Save, and go back to Account settings > Account AI Context to see the presets again.

Seeing it in action
Once your Account AI Context is set up, you'll see an Account context tag in the AI prompt box of each AI Prefill variable, next to Data sources. This shows you exactly what AI will use when it prefills that variable.

When a seller creates a page from the template, AI Prefill now combines three things:
- Your variable's AI prompt (what to write)
- Your Data sources, such as meeting notes (the facts)
- Your Account AI Context (how to write it)
Note: Want a quick way to check it's working? Add a playful rule like "Always start prefilled text variables with 'Hello from our team!'", create a test page, and look for it in the result. Just remember to remove the rule afterwards.
Editing or removing your Account AI Context
You can update your Account AI Context any time from Account settings > Account AI Context, or from Add account AI instructions in a template.
- To edit: Update the text in the Markdown editor, then click Save (or Done in a template).
- To copy: Click Copy to copy your instructions, for example, to keep a backup or share them with your team.
- To remove: Click Delete to clear your instructions, then click Save. Qwilr AI then goes back to using only your AI prompts and data sources.
Changes apply to new AI results. Content that AI has already generated on existing pages won't change.
Tips for great results
- Add structure with markdown. Use headings like # Brand voice and bullet points so AI can follow your instructions easily.
- Keep it account-wide. Use Account AI Context for things that apply everywhere, like tone, spelling, and words to avoid. Keep instructions for a single field in that variable's AI prompt.
- Be specific. "Use short sentences and avoid jargon" works better than "sound professional."
- Use firm wording for must-follow rules. Words like must and always tell AI a rule isn't optional.
- Test before you share. Create a test page from your template to check the results before your team starts using it.
